 In 1989 I was offered a job in Nashville TN playing banjo at Opryland Theme park. It sounded like a great opportunity so I locked the cabin door, threw my banjo in that old  Ford 150  truck, left   Kernersvile NC and headed to Tennessee! Shortly after moving to Nashville a music publisher by the name of Buzz Arledge took interest in my ability as a songwriter and published  many of my songs. “Walk on the Rocks” has sold over 3 million on country music star Alan Jackson’s CD “Everything I Love” ; and I love that!  What was suppose to be a summer job at Opryland has turned into over twenty years of  playing music in Nashville and given me incredible opportunities to perform all over the world and on stages of the  Grand ole Opry, Busch-Gardens The General Jackson, Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame and lots more!

The move to Nashville ended up being about more than just the music though. God had a plan to draw me closer to Him and  to teach me what  it really means to live the Christian life. I remember praying and asking God to let me meet some Christians who would have similar convictions and desires to know and follow Christ. He answered that prayer and I’m forever grateful to so many people who over the years  have helped me to know and experience God’s awesome plan for our lives!

Along the way I’ve developed a great love for studying the Bible and have enjoyed teaching and preaching in many different settings on the streets and in Churches all over the world! I try to make a yearly trip abroad to minister to the nations and have seen first hand the poverty, persecution, depravity, and civil unrest that so many live in. I only hope that my life and music will glorify God and be an encouragement to people wherever I go. I have been blessed to have traveled this road and to have experienced the amazing grace of God in so many ways. (Pictured right) is me performing on the Grand ole Opry! God is so good!

As of Sept. 2011 I’ve recorded and released four Christian Cd’s.  I travel and perform mostly as a solo, incorporating a  variety of musical instruments that I enjoy playing to accompany myself. I look forward to more songs and more adventures with this Awesome God!
